Swiss born contemporary artist Jeanette De Coninck has been living and working in several countries all over the world and is currently residing back in Switzerland with the South of France as her secondary home.
In her artistic practice, Jeanette explores the profound impact of mirroring psychology on viewers, striving to create works that not only engage visually but also resonate deeply on an emotional and psychological level. In a world often overshadowed by turmoil and despair, she consciously focuses on positivity and aspects of life that we individually control - our own mind and believes.
The use of vibrant colors, the integration of strong patterns and the soft incorporation of assessories (ex. flowers) is intentional. This combination is designed to capture the complexity of life and supports individualism and diversity.
Her art is an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with a sense of optimism and strength in the face of adversity. Each piece is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the personal power to learn & grow.
Her dynamic 20-year corporate career as a high-potential developer and people profiler strongly supported Jeanette's gift to perceive facial expressions, capturing feelings and personal attributes that make each individual so unique.
She is an autodidact who has been painting for decades. Jeanette loves experimenting with different media, trusting the creative process that brings out the core beauty of each of her subjects. She mainly uses acrylic paint and charcoal to create her powerful pieces.
Jeanette has a strong following of individuals and works closely with interior designers. Her commission pieces can be harmoniously integrated into the design of a home, aligned with the overall style and color scheme. Her pieces are held in private collections internationally including Switzerland, France / La Réunion and the US. Her current exhibition “the female factor” can be seen in the South of France.
